Step 1 of 17

First, where can we reach you?

We ask for this up front so we can get back to you, even if something interrupts you before the end. Your details stay confidential.

Please check your details and try again.

Your enquiry is treated with strict confidentiality in accordance with our privacy policy. Your answers go only to our clinical team.

Who would you like support for?

How old are you?

What brings you here?

A few sentences is plenty, but the more you can share, the better we can think about who would be the best fit. Whatever you share stays confidential.

Please tell us a little about what brings you here, a sentence is fine.

Have you had therapy or counselling before?

Please tell us a little about it: what it was for, whether it helped, and roughly when.

Please answer the following questions about yourself.

In the last 6 months, have you had any thoughts about hurting yourself, or ending your life?

Thank you for being honest with us. There is no wrong answer here, and it helps us point you to the right support.

Are the thoughts about hurting yourself (self-harm), about ending your life, or both?

Are you currently making plans to end your life?

Have you ever, at any point in your life, tried to end your life?

When was the most recent time?

A rough sense is fine.

Have you been harming yourself in the last 6 months?

Have you needed medical treatment for the self-harm? (for example A&E, stitches, or seeing your GP about it)

If you’d like to, tell us a little more about the self-harm.

How often are you self-harming at the moment?

Has the self-harm been getting more frequent, or more serious, recently?

Is your GP aware of what you’ve shared with us here?

If you answered 'Yes' to any of the previous questions and would like to share anything else, please use the space below:

Are you currently using alcohol in a way that feels hard to manage or is significantly affecting daily life?

Are you currently using recreational drugs in a way that feels hard to manage or is significantly affecting daily life?

How would you like to have your sessions?

We usually have more availability online, so choosing online or either means being seen sooner.

Which country will you be in for your sessions?

When are you generally free for sessions?

Choose any that apply. This helps us match you with someone who has availability that fits.

We have male and female Clinical Psychologists in our team.

We suggest the psychologist who is the best clinical and therapeutic fit, but if you have a strong preference about the gender of the psychologist you see, please let us know.

What are you hoping for from therapy?

Tap the ones that matter to you, in order of importance. Completely optional, and there is no right answer.

Would you prefer therapy that feels more structured, or more exploratory?

There is no right answer, and your psychologist will shape this with you.

Have you experienced anything traumatic or distressing that still affects you today?

This helps us match you with a psychologist experienced in the right approaches. Share only what you are comfortable with.

How will you be funding therapy?

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

Optional. Anything you feel would help us understand what you need and find the right match.

About ADHD and autism assessments

We do not offer ADHD or autism assessments, so we are not the right service for a diagnosis. If you are looking for an assessment, your GP can refer you, and in England you can also ask about your legal right to choose your assessment provider (Right to Choose), which can shorten waiting times.

Where we can help is therapy. Many people we work with are exploring a possible diagnosis, waiting for an assessment or making sense of one they have received. Our psychologists support the difficulties that often sit alongside, such as anxiety, low mood and low self-esteem.

If that sounds useful, you are very welcome to continue.

Maybe later

Thank you for being honest with us

It sounds like things are really hard right now. Because you have told us about thoughts you might act on, a weekly outpatient service like ours is not the safest option for you at the moment.

Please reach out to one of these services today. They are used to conversations like this and they will not judge you.

Support available right now

  • Your GP, ask for an urgent appointment. As well as being able to arrange crisis support quickly, your GP can refer you to your local Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) for psychological therapy alongside that support.
  • Your local mental health crisis team, you can contact them directly, and your GP can also connect you
  • SHOUT, text SHOUT to 85258 for free, confidential support by text
  • Samaritans on 116 123, free to call, 24 hours a day
  • NHS 111, choosing option 2, for urgent mental health support

If you are in immediate danger, go to A&E or call 999.

Why these services, and not us? Our clinic offers planned weekly therapy, with the same psychologist at the same time each week. That works well when you can wait safely between sessions, but it is not crisis support, and from what you have said, crisis support is what matters most right now. The services above can respond today, and helping people through moments like this is exactly what they do.

We do offer therapy for people who have been through a crisis, once the immediate risk has passed. If that point comes and you would like weekly sessions, contact us again then.

Thank you for being honest with us

That is not always easy to share. In our experience, when alcohol or drugs are taking up a lot of space, weekly therapy on its own tends not to be enough, and we would rather be honest about that.

Therapy works best alongside specialist substance support, so we would encourage you to start there:

Once that support is in place, we would be really pleased to work with you alongside it or afterwards. You are welcome to come back to us at any point.

Couples therapy is coming soon

We do not currently offer couples therapy, but we hope to soon. Confirm your details below and we will let you know as soon as it is available.

Please check your details and try again.

Your details are treated with strict confidentiality in accordance with our privacy policy.

You're on the list

Thank you. We will be in touch as soon as couples therapy is available. In the meantime, if either of you would like individual support, you are very welcome to make an individual enquiry.
