About

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in various NHS services, supporting adults, young people, and their families with a range of psychological difficulties, across different roles.

My Experience and Interests

I have worked extensively within both Adult Mental Health and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, supporting individuals experiencing a variety of psychological difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety, including social anxiety, phobias, and OCD
  • Depression
  • Interpersonal trauma
  • Paranoia or fear of harm from others
  • PTSD, including Complex PTSD and attachment trauma
  • Unusual experiences such as hearing, seeing, or feeling things others cannot (psychosis)
  • Unwanted intrusive memories or flashbacks
  • Perfectionism/striving behaviours
  • Autism
  • Carers of dementia

I have a particular interest and specialist expertise in working with anxiety difficulties and trauma.

How I Like to Work

I work collaboratively with you to help explore your current difficulties, taking the stance of ‘what has happened to you’ and ‘how you made sense of it’ rather than ‘what is wrong with you.’ Together we will develop a shared understanding of your difficulties, explore a path to change, and work together to create the change you seek.

The Therapy Approaches I Use

I work flexibly and collaboratively with my clients, drawing upon a range of evidence-based approaches. Primarily, I utilise:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Additionally, I integrate concepts and principles from Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Systemic Approaches.

My Credentials and Registration

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU). I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
